Mazoku(demons) are a central species in Kyo Kara Maoh.
Appearance
Unlike the monstrous forms Mazoku are supposed to have, the mazoku in Kyo Kara Maoh! have a human appearance.

Abilities
Magic
(known as Maryoku in Japanese) Many higher-ranking Mazoku in the tribe possesses magic. Usually, it is elemental, be it earth, water, air, or fire. It takes a considerable amount of time to learn or master, and usually requires an incantation. However, if someone is powerful enough and is exceptionally skillful in the art, then they can use their powers without speaking. (e.g.Yuuri)
Weaknesses
- If Mazoku are in human territory, most of the elements will not obey them, making their powers useless.
- Should a Mazoku be exposed to Esoteric Stones (Houseki in Japanese), their bodies will become weak and they will not be able to use their magic. (The effect will depend on what stone is used)
