Hyscliff (ヒスクライフ) is a former prince who lives in a small town in Hildyard called Misshinai. He's the son of the King of Cavalcade who fell in love with the daughter of a merchant in Hildyard and left the royal family to marry her. He runs an onsen in a Hildyard pleasure district. He has a daughter named Beatrice.

He offers to educate Greta in Cavalcade about human royal families and culture so that she can become an ambassador between Mazoku and Humans.

Differences in the anime

In the anime, he returns to Cavalcade and becomes an ambassador to Shin Makoku.
